Concentrated assemblies of magnetic nanoparticles in ionic liquids.
Maghemite (γ-Fe2O3) nanoparticles (NPs) can be successfully dispersed in a protic ionic liquid, ethylammonium nitrate (EAN), by transfer from aqueous dispersions into EAN. As the aqueous systems are well controlled, several parameters can be tuned. Their crucial role towards the interparticle potential and the structure of the dispersions is evidenced: (i) the size of the NPs tunes the interpar...

He received his M.Sc.in Organic Chemistry (2019) under the supervision of Prof. Mohammad Ali Zolfigol. Also, He was also accepted for a Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the Bu-Ali Sina University in the same year. His research interest is the synthesis, cha...
متن کاملIonic liquids for synthesis of nanoparticles (A review)
An ionic liquid (IL) is a salt in the liquid state. In some contexts, the term has been restricted to salts whose melting point is below some arbitrary temperature, such as 100 °C. While ordinary liquids such as water and gasoline are predominantly made of electrically neutral molecules, ionic liquids are largely made of ions and short-lived ion pairs. These substances are variously called liqu...
متن کاملSputtering-deposition of Ru nanoparticles onto Al2O3 modified with imidazolium ionic liquids: synthesis, characterisation and catalysis.
Well-distributed Ru nanoparticles (Ru-NPs) were produced over Al(2)O(3) supports modified with covalently anchored imidazolium ionic liquids (ILs) containing different anions and cation lateral alkyl chain lengths by simple sputtering from a Ru foil. These Ru-NPs were active catalysts for the hydrogenation of benzene. Furthermore, depending on the nature of the IL used to modify the support (hy...
متن کاملSulfonium-based Ionic Liquids Incorporating the Allyl Functionality
A series of sulfonium halides bearing allyl groups have been prepared and characterized. Anion metathesis with Li[Tf2N] and Ag[N(CN)2] resulted in sulfonium-based ionic liquids which exhibit low viscosities at room temperature. The solid state structure of one of the halide salts was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
